Dr. Laurie Cestnick is a caring professional who is excellent with children and enhances their learning and confidence with emphasis on their strengths. She is an expert clinician, prolific scientist (Harvard University, M.I.T.), speaker and educator of clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and learning disorders. She is internationally recognized for her research in reading, dyslexia and attention in particular, and studies both developmental and acquired disorders via cognitive, behavioral and neuroimaging (fMRI, MEG) studies. Dr. Cestnick has over 30 scientific publications in these areas.
Fifteen years clinical experience conducting neuropsychological, psychological, and educational evaluations, conjoined with a long history for cutting edge research studying attention, dyslexia, reading, and learning disorders, affords Dr. Cestnick the opportunity to conduct highly comprehensive evaluations with very specific recommendations for you/your child.
Dr. Cestnick works with children as young as 3 years of age as well as persons of all ages into late adulthood. She examines phenomenon from developmental delays and disorders to impacts from stroke, concussion, and other forms of brain injuries. Dr. Cestnick resides in Massachusetts conducting clinical work at the Hallowell Center in Sudbury, MA, in addition to private practice, research and teaching.
